NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) works well with water, oil, and general industrial fluids. But avoid strong acids, alkalis, ketones, or esters-these can degrade NBR, causing leaks. For such media, use a valve with FKM seals instead.
Q:Does this gate valve have a required flow direction?
A:
Gate valves are typically bi-directional (seal both ways). But it's recommended to install according to the 'flow arrow' on the valve or the common fluid direction for even gate stress. Ensure the stem is vertical upward for easy operation and visibility.
Q:How often should this valve be maintained?
A:
