The 41-spindle odd configuration creates a non-symmetrical braid path that distributes load more evenly across all yarns, reducing internal stress concentrations. This improves fatigue life in dynamic applications like mooring and towing, while also giving a premium, uniform surface finish with no visual repetition lines.
Q:Can the two heads run different products simultaneously?
A:
Yes. Each head has its own take-up motor, tension sensors, and independent clutch engagement. You can run steel wire on one head for a 12mm cable and polyester on the other for a 20mm rope - all on the same machine, at the same time.
Q:What is the maximum braiding speed and how does it vary with diameter?
A:
Maximum horn gear speed is 230 RPM. For smaller diameters (8-12mm), you can run at full speed with appropriate take-up tension. For larger diameters (16-22mm), we recommend reducing speed slightly to maintain optimal braid density and yarn tension - typically around 180-200 RPM for best results.
