A differential pressure core measures the difference between the two pressures applied to its two ports, unlike gauge (G) or absolute (A) types which reference atmosphere or vacuum. The lead-wire side is the high-pressure side, and the H/L marks help identify the high (H) and low (L) pressure ports during installation.

Static pressure is the common line pressure applied to both ports simultaneously. The GS20 is rated for a static pressure of 10MPa, which means it can operate in pressurized vessels and pipelines where the line pressure is high, while measuring a much smaller differential span of 0-10kPa up to 3.5MPa. Overload capacity is 1.5 times full scale.

The lead-wire side is the high-pressure side, and the H/L marks identify the high and low pressure ports. Wiring uses 4-color silicone leads (IN+ red, IN- black, S+ yellow, S- blue), with gold-plated pins available as an option. Connect the higher process pressure to the H side.

Choose ordering code C for constant current excitation of 1.5mA, or code V for constant voltage excitation up to 10V DC, matching the excitation source of your conditioning circuit. Common-mode output is the output level at zero differential pressure: 50% of full scale under constant current and 40% under constant voltage. Confirm the mode when ordering so the conditioning circuit can be calibrated accordingly

Differential ranges cover 0-10kPa up to 3.5MPa. For flow instrumentation, choose a range matched to the orifice or venturi differential span; for pressurized vessel level measurement, match the liquid height and density; for filter and process monitoring, select based on the expected pressure drop. Compensated temperature is 0 to 50 degrees for ranges up to 200kPa and -10 to 70 degrees for ranges above 200kPa.
