The standard I2C protocol is designed for short-distance board-level communication; reliable communication distance is typically within 1 meter. For longer distances (e.g., 5-10 meters), additional measures are needed, such as reducing communication speed, using I2C buffers or level shifters, or opting for long-distance communication solutions like RS-485 (requires customization).

Usually, no user calibration is required. SHT series chips are precision laser-trimmed and calibrated at the factory. The calibration data is stored in the chip's OTP memory and is automatically used for each measurement. This ensures high accuracy and interchangeability of the sensors, significantly reducing user maintenance efforts.

The sintered stainless steel probe has good moisture and water resistance. Its sintered filter element blocks liquid water while allowing water vapor molecules to pass, enabling the internal sensing element to equilibrate with ambient humidity. Therefore, it can effectively handle high humidity and temporary condensation. However, for long-term exposure to condensation or direct immersion, a higher level of sealing design should be considered. Please specify this when ordering.

The sensor operates within a voltage range of 2.15V to 5.5V, with specific values depending on the selected chip type.
