PCE 1086L is third generation high efficiency water reducer specially developed for high early strength concrete production.
Special polymer formula delivers excellent dispersing capacity and improves concrete compactness as well as cohesiveness for concrete mixes.
It provides prominent early strength performance which fits the production requirement of precast concrete components for fast demoulding.
It owns extremely low alkali content and optimizes concrete shrinkage and creep performance to promote long-term concrete durability.
It achieves super strong water reducing effect up to 30 percent. It is suitable for projects requiring high water reduction performance.
Widely applied in precast concrete self compacting concrete C40 to C60 high strength concrete and C40 to C50 high performance concrete.
Different dosage ranges for different concrete grades. Ordinary concrete uses dosage 0.2 to 1.0 percent by cement weight.
It shows good compatibility with all Portland cement and cement-based products. It can be used together with all Sidleychem series additives.
Appearance is white or light yellow transparent liquid. Solid content is 20 percent.

Q:How is PCE 157L different from PCE 155L?
A:
While both are slump retainers, PCE 155L is for 'extended' retention (1-3 hours). PCE 157L is for 'ultra-long' retention (6-10 hours). It uses a different, slow-release molecular technology designed for the most extreme duration requirements.
Q:Does it delay the final set of concrete?
A:
It is designed to retard the loss of workability, not excessively delay the final set. The concrete will still gain strength on a predictable schedule. For massive pours, this controlled set time is often a benefit, helping manage thermal cracking.
Q:Can I use it in precast?
A:
Yes, for extremely large or complex precast elements where long placement times are anticipated, PCE 157L is an excellent choice to ensure perfect consolidation throughout the pour.
Q:Is it worth the investment?
A:
For standard projects, perhaps not. But for logistically critical projects, the cost of a failed pour, a wasted truckload, or a cold joint far exceeds the investment in PCE 157L. It is insurance for perfection.
