Rdp 61053 Polymer Powder Improve Mortar Abrasion Resistance

RDP 61053 is high hardness vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer VAE redispersible polymer powder for multi base dry mix mortar.

It enhances adhesion cohesion and abrasion resistance for cement based gypsum based and lime based dry mixed mortar systems.

It features excellent bonding strength and improved water resistance, suitable for tile adhesives and EIFS bonding mortar applications.

Appearance is white powder. Bulk density ranges 500 to 700 gram per litre. Moisture content is controlled no more than 2.0 percent. Polyvinyl alcohol acts as protective colloid.

Solids content reaches no less than 98 percent. Minimum film forming temperature is 0 degree Celsius and Tg value is 16 degree Celsius for high hardness polymer film.

Recommended dosage is 0.5 percent to 1.5 percent of cementitious material weight. Fully blend with other dry raw materials by suitable mixing equipment.

Avoid excessive temperature rise in mixing process. High temperature will trigger thermoplastic agglomeration of redispersible polymer powder.

Manual mixing requires five minutes slaking time before secondary stirring for better dispersion performance. Mechanical mixing can skip slaking step.

It shows good compatibility with all Portland cements gypsum based lime based products and full Sidleychem admixture series and needs separate feeding.
