The device immediately identifies dangerous gas concentrations and triggers an alarm to enable the user to react quickly.

Q:Which gases can be detected with the EX-TEC PM 580?

Depending on the configuration, up to five gases can be detected. The device warns you of methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide and oxygen. It measures methane and oxygen and recognises methane, carbon monoxide and propane when it detects them.

Q:How long is the operating time of the EX-TEC PM 580?

Depending on the application, the operating time for warning is up to 16 hours. For measurements it is up to 11 hours and for detecting (structure) up to 8 hours. The rechargeable battery takes approx. 5 hours to fully charge.

The device draws in ambient air via a built-in pump and measures the concentration of various gases using highly sensitive sensors. The measurement results are shown on the display and can be automatically documented and read out using the GasCom software.
