Q:What is a piston seal used for?
A:
Piston seals are installed inside hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders. They seal between piston and cylinder bore, prevent fluid bypass across the piston, and help the cylinder generate thrust.
Q:What materials do you offer for piston seals?
A:
Main materials: PU, NBR, FKM, pure PTFE, PTFE+NBR combined seals. We help you select material based on working pressure, temperature and fluid medium.
Q:Can you make custom size piston seals?
A:
Yes. We support OEM & custom production. Please provide size drawing or dimension specs (OD, ID, thickness). Both metric and inch sizes are acceptable.
Q:What is the difference between piston seal and rod seal?
A:
Piston seal fits on the piston (inside cylinder, moving with piston). Rod seal is for the piston rod, installed on cylinder head. They cannot be used interchangeably.
Q:How to confirm the correct piston seal size?
A:
Measure cylinder bore diameter, piston groove diameter and groove width. Or send us the cylinder model / old seal sample for reference.
