Roller mills produce very uniform flakes but are expensive and complex. Our disc mill with self-priming produces uniformly ground particles (not flakes) at a fraction of the cost. For most grain-to-flour applications, disc milling is perfectly adequate.

Take a sample of flour from the 150 and spread it on a sheet of glass or dark paper. Then take a sample from a competitor's mill at the same apparent fineness. Use a magnifying glass or smartphone macro lens. The competitor's sample will show a mix of dust and grits; yours will show a much more consistent particle size. A picture is worth a thousand words.

It helps. The cyclone removes the ultra-fine dust that would otherwise be counted as 'fines' in a particle size analysis. The remaining product has a tighter distribution. Some customers even keep the cyclone fines as a separate product (e.g., for animal feed) and sell the main flour at a premium.
