Crimped Woven Screen Ensures Non Slip Rigid Quarry Aggregate Grading Separation Control Mesh

Crimped wire mesh is a woven wire mesh where the wires are pre-crimped (pressed with a wave or zigzag shape) before weaving. This mechanical crimp locks the wires at each intersection, creating a rigid and stable mesh that resists shifting under vibration or heavy loads.

There are three main types: plain crimp (standard wave at every intersection), intermediate crimp (crimp on warp wires only), and lock crimp (extra-tight crimp at every intersection for maximum rigidity). Lock crimp is commonly used for heavy-duty vibrating screens in mining and quarrying.

Common materials include stainless steel (304, 316), galvanized steel, high-carbon steel, and copper. Wire diameters range from 0.5mm to 12mm. Mesh openings range from 0.5mm to 100mm depending on the application.

Mining and quarry vibrating screens, industrial sieving and filtration, security fencing and machine guards, architectural facades, animal enclosures, and barbecue grills. Crimped mesh is preferred for high-vibration applications because the woven intersections absorb stress without breaking.

Crimped wire mesh is woven with mechanical interlocks that provide flexibility and impact resistance. Welded mesh has rigid joints that can break under vibration or heavy impact. For vibrating screens and high-wear applications, crimped mesh is recommended because the intersections move slightly to absorb stress rather than cracking.
