Substation Heavy Cable Saddle with Anti Vibration Silicone Cushion Ring

A rubber lined saddle clamp, also known as an Omega pipe clamp or two-hole cushioned strap, is a semi-circular metal clamp with flat mounting ears on both sides. It features a heavy-duty EPDM rubber profile lining on the inner edge. It is extensively used to fasten pipes, hydraulic hoses, gas conduits, and high-voltage cables to walls, floors, structural steel, or electrical bridge trays, providing reliable support and preventing physical shift.

The EPDM rubber lining serves three crucial functions. First, it acts as an excellent shock absorber, dampening mechanical vibrations and reducing system operation noise. Second, it prevents direct metal-to-metal or metal-to-plastic contact, eliminating scratching, friction wear, and galvanic corrosion on the pipe wall or cable jacket. Third, it allows the clamped pipes or cables to expand and contract naturally under thermal fluctuations without causing tension damage.

The dual slotted mounting holes allow for easy alignment and position adjustment during installation. Unlike rigid circular holes, the oval-shaped slot permits installers to make slight horizontal and vertical adjustments before tightening the anchor bolts. This significantly speeds up construction on uneven surfaces like rough concrete walls or misaligned steel framing channels.
