Q:Do I need shielding gas for welding with this series wires?

No. These are self-shielded flux-cored wires. No external shielding gas such as CO2 or argon is required. Use dedicated self-shielded welder for welding, ideal for field sites without gas supply.

Q:Is all-position welding available?

Yes. It supports flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead and vertical-down welding. Excellent performance for vertical-down welding, especially for field girth weld of pipelines.

Q:What are the storage requirements?

Store in dry and ventilated warehouse, keep away from moisture and corrosive substances. Keep original aluminum-foil vacuum package sealed before opening. Once opened, use as soon as possible to avoid moisture absorption and welding porosity.

Q:What causes porosity defects?

Mostly caused by damp welding wire, unclean base metal with rust, oil or water, or improper welding parameters. Keep wire well-sealed, clean workpiece surface before welding, set proper current and voltage to improve weld quality.

Q:Is it suitable for indoor precision stainless-steel welding?

Not recommended. This series is designed for carbon steel and low-alloy steel for steel-structure and pipeline projects. Please use dedicated stainless-steel gas-shielded wires for stainless steel welding.
