The back side is supported by two hydraulic cylinders at a small angle, powered by a hydraulic station. Hydraulic oil moves the cylinder rod to realize blocking and discharging flood.

Q:How does the dam work if sedimentation on top of its surface is more than 30 cm?

The dam is designed to withstand severe sedimentation. It can adjust up to a vertical angle of 75 degrees to wash away sediment under normal flow. Remaining sediment is not significant enough to affect operation.

Q:What should be done if branches and stones are stuck in the dam?
