First, confirm the DC interface specification of the equipment (such as 5.5*2.1mm), then calculate the current based on the equipment power (power/voltage), and reserve 20% redundancy to select the conductor specification (for example, for 12V/40W equipment, select 0.75mm2, for 12V/70W equipment, select 1mm2). For indoor use, choose PVC type; for outdoor or industrial use, choose PUR type. For long-distance wiring, give priority to thick conductor specifications.

Heating is mostly due to insufficient conductor specifications (overload) or oxidation of the contacts. It is necessary to replace the wire with a larger conductor specification or clean the oxidation of the contacts with anhydrous alcohol. If there is poor contact, check whether the joint is fully engaged or replace the joint (for integrated joints, it is recommended to directly replace the entire line) to avoid long-term overheating and damage to the equipment.

The maximum support for customization is 20m. There will be slight voltage attenuation during long-distance wiring, which needs to be evaluated in combination with the conductor specifications and power: For a 12V system, a 1mm2 conductor is used within 10m, with a power of <=50W, and the attenuation can be ignored. For distances exceeding 10m or with greater power, it is recommended to choose a 1.5mm2 conductor or shorten the wiring distance.

It is not recommended to connect in series. Series connection will increase the number of contact points, leading to poor contact, doubling of voltage attenuation, and simultaneously raising the risk of heat generation and failure. When long-distance power supply is required, directly customize a single cable of the corresponding length or select a wire with a thick conductor specification to ensure stable power supply.
