Galvanized Steel C Strut Channel Perforated Slotted for Cable Tray Support System

A strut channel is a cold-formed steel C profile with a slotted or solid back, used to build support frames. It carries cable trays, pipes, ductwork, solar panels, and equipment, and can be assembled with bolts instead of welding.

For outdoor work, hot-dip galvanizing, zinc aluminium magnesium coating, and stainless steel give the strongest corrosion protection against rain, humidity, and salt air. Pre-galvanized and powder-coated channels are more economical but suit dry indoor use or sheltered installations.

Half-slotted channel has slots in the middle section and solid ends. It suits assemblies where fittings or hangers need adjustment in the centre while the ends stay strong, such as pipe supports, cable tray brackets, and equipment stands.

Anchor base plates or brackets to the structure first, then assemble channel sections with fittings, channel nuts, and bolts. Check level and alignment before final tightening. No welding is needed for most support frames, so installation stays fast and easy to adjust.

Support spacing depends on the channel profile, steel thickness, and total load. Shorter spacing increases capacity, while long spans need a heavier or double section. Use our load table or confirm the spacing with your project engineer.
