Galvanized Strut Channel Support System for Data Center Cable Management

A strut channel is a cold-formed steel C profile with a slotted or solid back, used to build support frames. It carries cable trays, pipes, ductwork, solar panels, and equipment, and can be assembled with bolts instead of welding.

Most strut channels are cold-rolled carbon steel such as Q235B or Q355B. They can be supplied pre-galvanized, electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, zinc aluminium magnesium coated, or powder coated. Stainless steel 304 and 316 and aluminium versions are also produced.

Slotted channel has elongated holes punched in the back so nuts and bolts can be fixed at any position along the length. Solid channel has no holes and gives higher stiffness with a cleaner appearance. Half-slotted versions combine both features.

Common accessories include channel nuts and spring nuts, hex bolts, washers, pipe clamps, beam clamps, angle brackets, corner fittings, base plates, and post bases. They let you build complete support frames without welding, and we supply them matched to the channel.

Capacity depends on the profile, steel thickness, span between supports, and where the load sits. A deeper channel with thicker walls carries more than a light section. We provide load and deflection data on request.
