The substrate must be firm and clean, free from oil, dust, and loose particles. Fill holes and cracks with repair material first. For highly absorbent substrates, apply a primer. Before application, no standing water should remain, but the surface can be slightly damp. Proper preparation prevents hollowing and cracking.

For small areas, you can do it yourself; for large areas, professional workers are recommended. You need a mixer, notched trowel, defoaming roller, and water measuring container. Add water according to the ratio, mix for three to five minutes, let it rest, then stir again before use. Pour on the floor, use the trowel to assist leveling, then roll with a defoaming roller.

It can be used in damp environments like basements, but self-leveling mortar itself is not waterproof. If the groundwater level is high or the area is persistently damp, a waterproof layer must be applied first, then the self-leveling mortar. Otherwise, moisture will rise and cause bulging or delamination. For long-term water immersion, choose specialized waterproof self-leveling mortar.

The dosage depends on thickness. Generally, about one point five to one point eight kilograms per square meter per millimeter of thickness. For example, at thirty millimeters thick, about forty-five to fifty-four kilograms per square meter. Actual dosage also depends on substrate flatness and product density allow a small margin for waste when purchasing.

The ambient temperature should be between five and thirty-five degrees Celsius. Below five degrees, application is not recommended, as it affects curing and leads to insufficient strength. In winter, maintain indoor temperature and protect materials from freezing. In summer, avoid application above thirty-five degrees to prevent rapid drying and cracking.
