A static transfer switch is a dual-input AC transfer switch. Under normal conditions, one input is energized while the other is de-energized, and the load is powered by one of the AC inputs. If a fault occurs in the active power source, the STS automatically switches to the other power source, ensuring that the load continues to be powered without interruption.
