Q:What types of tablet presses are there?

Single-punch tablet press: manual/electric, suitable for small-batch R&D or laboratories. Rotary multi-punch tablet press: high-speed continuous production (common 16 to 75 punches), industrial mainstream. High-speed servo tablet press: precise control of pressure and speed, used for high-demand products.
Q:How to adjust the tablet weight?
A:
Adjust the filling depth: control the material volume by adjusting the depth of the lower punch entering the middle die. Adjust the particle flowability: ensure uniform filling of the material (great influence by humidity and particle size).
Q:How to control the hardness/thickness of the tablet?
A:
Pressure adjustment: increasing the pressure can increase the hardness (but too high may cause cracking). Upper punch stroke adjustment: control the final position during compression (directly affects the thickness).
Q:What determines the tableting speed (output)?
A:
Number of punches (e.g. 55 punches > 35 punches). Rotary table speed (RPM). Material properties (speed should be reduced for poor fluidity).
