A complete light steel keel production line typically consists of a decoiler, leveling unit, punching die set, forming stations, cutting device, output rack, and a PLC control system. All sections work in coordination to achieve continuous automated production from steel coils to finished keel profiles.

By replacing forming dies and adjusting the spacing between stations, a single production line can produce keels in multiple width specifications, such as 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm series. A quick die-change system can complete specification switches in a short time, minimizing downtime to the greatest extent.

Forming accuracy is guaranteed through three key measures. First, high-precision alloy steel dies manufactured by CNC machining and heat treatment ensure stable cross-sectional dimensions. Second, the forming machine uses a multi-pass progressive forming method to avoid deformation caused by material stress concentration. Third, an inline inspection system monitors the keel width, height, and flange dimensions in real time, automatically correcting any detected deviation immediately.

The most common raw material for light steel keels is galvanized steel strip, with thicknesses generally ranging from 0.3mm to 1.2mm, and a zinc coating weight typically no less than 120 grams per square meter. For some fire-resistant or load-bearing keel types, aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel strip or uncoated cold-rolled steel strip may also be used. The specific material selection should be determined based on the project environment and structural requirements.

The operating speed of conventional light steel keel forming equipment typically ranges from 20 meters to 60 meters per minute. The specific speed depends on the complexity of the product cross-section, material thickness, and the number of punching operations. High-end servo-driven production lines can achieve even higher speeds when producing simple keel profiles. Setting an appropriate speed is the key to balancing product quality with production efficiency.
