Please provide the applicable product standard, steel grade, outside diameter, wall thickness or controlled inside diameter, length and quantity for each size. Required dimensional tolerances, delivery condition, heat treatment, surface condition, processing scope, inspection and documentation requirements, destination and requested delivery date should also be specified when applicable.

Seamless steel tubes are commonly ordered by outside diameter and wall thickness. If the inside diameter is critical for machining, assembly or hydraulic components, the required ID and its tolerance should also be stated. OD, ID and wall thickness are interrelated, and any two dimensions normally determine the third for a round tube. When several dimensions require independent tolerance control, the buyer should provide a technical drawing for feasibility review.

Special OD, ID, wall-thickness, straightness and length tolerances can be reviewed with suitable supply resources according to the material grade, dimensions, delivery condition and required quantity. Buyers should provide the controlled dimensions, tolerance values and final application or an approved technical drawing before quotation.

Hot-finished tubes are generally selected where standard dimensional tolerances and surface conditions are acceptable. Cold drawing introduces additional dimensional reduction and can provide closer OD, ID and wall-thickness tolerances, improved straightness and a more consistent surface condition. Fixed lengths may be supplied through mill production or by cutting available random-length tubes when feasible. Chamfering, deburring and other tube-end processing can also be coordinated according to the order. The required length, length tolerance, end condition and quantity for each size should be confirmed before quotation.
