Yes. We do both in-house. This gives us full control over material consistency, heat treatment timing, and machining strategy. No handoffs to outside shops means faster problem-solving if a dimensional or porosity issue appears.

We use three practical controls: 1.Process-stable casting parameters (shot speed, metal temperature, die lubrication) to minimize gas entrapment. 2.Sample sectioning- we regularly cut open sample castings to inspect internal condition before machining. 3.Visual inspection after first machining pass-if porosity appears, we adjust casting parameters immediately. This catches >95% of porosity issues before full production.

Our standard CNC tolerance is +-0.01mm on most features. For tighter needs (e.g., +-0.005mm), we use in-process probing (on our CNC) and CMM verification on samples. We recommend tolerancing only what your assembly truly requires-over specification adds cost without function.

We use custom soft jaws, low clamping force, and stress-relieving heat treatment before machining. For critical flatness, we machine in two stages: rough, unclamp to relax stress, then finish. This is done without special automation-just careful process design.

For mature production, our post-CNC yield is typically 95-97%. The 3-5% loss comes from porosity or dimensional issues caught during machining. We do not charge customers for scrap caused by internal casting defects-you pay only for good, finished parts.
