The mobile base allows the crane to be relocated between machinery, assembly stations, maintenance areas or loading areas. The traveling method should be selected according to crane capacity, traveling distance and floor conditions.

A mobile jib crane normally does not require the same permanent concrete foundation used for a fixed pillar jib crane. However, the crane still requires a suitable flat and load-bearing floor. The mobile base and supporting structure should be designed according to the lifting capacity, jib arm length and operating conditions.

Stability depends on the mobile base dimensions, crane structure, lifting capacity, working radius and positioning or supporting system. This depends on the specific crane design and operating conditions. A standard mobile jib crane should not automatically be assumed to support traveling with a suspended load. If loaded traveling is required, please inform Jielong Crane during the design stage so the operating requirement can be evaluated separately.

Mobile jib crane capacity can be customized according to the application. The suitable capacity cannot be determined independently from the jib arm length and mobile base because a longer working radius creates a greater overturning moment. Please provide both the required lifting capacity and working radius for technical selection.
