The process includes pier roughening, elongation, punching, and expanding. Ring rolling uses rolling to expand holes, while free forging typically uses a horse screw for this step.

The 45# steel has a carbon content of 0.42~0.50%, with Mn 0.50~0.80%, Si 0.17~0.37%, and low P and S content, ensuring good strength and toughness.
