Open-Die Forged 16mn Steel Hydraulic Engineering Round Bar

Forging transforms solid metal from one shape to another through plastic forming (hot or cold), while casting transforms liquid metal into a solid shape by pouring it into a mold. Forging improves mechanical properties, whereas casting focuses on melting and molding processes.

Select forgings by checking external dimensions and surface defects (cracks, wrinkles, pits) and internal properties via chemical composition, macroscopic/microscopic structure, and mechanical tests (tensile strength, hardness, ductility) using specialized instruments.

The process includes pier roughening, elongation, punching, and expanding. Free forging uses a horse screw for hole expansion, while ring rolling uses rolling. Both methods ensure shape transformation at high temperatures.

We use 45# carbon structural steel (GB/T699-1999), equivalent to S45C (JIS), 1045 (AISI), and SM45. The steel offers high hardness, strength, and wear resistance after quenching and tempering.

We offer flexible customization including full customization, minor customization, and customization from designs or samples. Shapes include round bars, squares, shafts, rings, and cylinders with customized sizes.
