Steel Cylinder Forging for Aluminum Die Casting

Forging transforms solid metal from one shape to another through plastic deformation (hot or cold processing), while casting transforms liquid metal into a solid shape by pouring it into a mold. Forging improves mechanical properties, whereas casting focuses on melting and molding.

Check external appearance for defects like cracks, wrinkles, or pits. Internally, analyze chemical composition, macroscopic/microscopic structures, and mechanical properties (tensile strength, hardness, ductility) using specialized instruments to detect fractures, shrinkage, or disordered flow lines.

The process for circular forgings includes pier roughening, elongation, punching, and expanding. Free forging uses a horse screw for hole expansion, while ring rolling uses rolling. Both are plastic forming processes in the solid state.

We use 45# structural carbon steel (similar to S45C, 1045, SM45). The product complies with GB/T19001-2016, ISO9001:2015, ASTM, AISI, DIN, JIS, and BS standards. Chemical composition and mechanical properties are strictly controlled.
