Q:What is epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer?
A:
It is a transformer with an iron core and winding that are not immersed in insulating oil. The high-voltage winding is made of epoxy resin and cast under vacuum conditions, which has the characteristics of flame retardant, self extinguishing, and environmental protection.
Q:What is the biggest difference compared to oil immersed transformers?
A:
There is no insulating oil. Therefore, there is no risk of oil leakage, no fire hazard, and no need for accident oil tanks. It can be directly installed in load centers (such as commercial buildings and subway stations).
Q:Which voltage levels are applicable?
A:
6kV, 10kV, 20kV, 35kV, with a capacity range of 30kVA~25000kVA.
Q:Will it really not catch fire?
A:
Epoxy resin itself is a flame-retardant material that will not burn when exposed to fire. It will extinguish itself after leaving the source of fire and will not produce harmful gases. However, internal faults in transformers may still generate high temperatures, but they will not cause explosions and spread of oil fires like oil transformers do.
Q:Can it operate in a 100% humidity environment?
A:
Sure. The surface of the epoxy resin cast coil is dense and smooth, completely moisture-proof and dust proof, and can be put into operation directly without drying after shutdown.
