Q:Can it be laminated with PVC overlay film?

White PVC core material is intended for multilayer PVC card constructions. The exact overlay, ink and lamination cycle should be qualified together.

Q:What lamination temperature should we use?

There is no single universal setting for every card construction. Temperature, pressure, dwell and cooling should be established using the actual core, overlay, ink and inlay combination.

Q:Why can a laminated card curl even when the core thickness is correct?

Curl can be influenced by layer asymmetry, ink coverage, dimensional behavior, overlay construction and cooling conditions. Evaluate the complete stack before changing only the core sheet.
