Q:Q1: What type of hydraulic oil should be used for this press?
A:
A: We highly recommend using clean 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil. Please do not use brake oil or other unapproved fluids, as they may damage the internal seals and oil pump.
Q:Q2: What should I do if the pressure gauge shows no reading when pumping?
A:
A: This is usually caused by air in the system or a loose valve. Please immediately release the pressure, slightly loosen the oil filling screw, and pump the handle a few times to bleed the air. If the issue persists, check if the low-pressure valve has debris and clean it.
Q:Q3: Is there a maximum stroke limit for the main piston?
A:
A: Yes. To protect the internal return springs and ensure the piston resets properly, the maximum piston stroke should not exceed 30mm. Do not pump the handle once the piston reaches this limit.
Q:Q4: Can this press be used inside a glove box?
A:
A: Absolutely. Since this is a fully manual hydraulic press with no electrical components, it is perfectly safe and highly suitable for preparing oxygen-sensitive or moisture-sensitive samples inside a glove box.
Q:Q5: How do I convert the pressure gauge reading (MPa) to actual pressure (Tons)?
A:
A: The conversion depends on the piston area. Generally, for a 15T press, 25 MPa on the gauge equals 15 Tons of actual pressure. We provide a detailed pressure conversion chart in the user manual for your specific model.
