Q:What materials can U-Type screw conveyor transport?

It is suitable for powder, granular and small-lump bulk materials, such as grain, cement, fly ash, feed, fertilizer, chemical powder, sludge, etc. Not for large-size, highly-viscous or easily-clogged winding materials.

Q:Can U-Type screw conveyor be installed in inclined position? What is the maximum inclination angle?

It supports horizontal or slight-inclined conveying, with recommended inclination <= 35 degrees. Excessive angle reduces capacity and causes material back-flow. Tube screw conveyor is recommended for steep-inclined working conditions.

Q:Shall I choose shafted or shaftless U-Type screw conveyor?

Shafted type for common powder and granular materials with good flowability. Shaftless type is for sludge, winding materials and materials easy to tangle on central shaft.

Q:Is stainless-steel version available? What material options are there?

Carbon steel, SS304 and SS316L are optional. SS304/316L for food grade or anti-corrosion chemical application; carbon steel for common building-material and mineral powder to save cost.

Q:Will U-Type screw conveyor get material blockage? How to avoid clogging?

Over-feeding, excessive inclination or damp agglomerated material will cause blockage. Install overload protection, control feeding rate and regularly clean residual material through openable trough cover to reduce clogging risk.
