Q:What materials can a screw conveyor transport?

It is suitable for powder, granular and small-size bulk materials, such as cement, fly ash, grain, feed pellets, quartz sand and gypsum powder. It is not recommended for large lumps, fibrous, high-viscosity and easy-caking materials.

Q:What is the difference between tubular screw conveyor and U-trough screw conveyor?

The tubular screw conveyor adopts fully-closed round casing with good dust-proof performance, suitable for dusty materials. The U-trough screw conveyor has an open-top trough with removable cover, which is easier for inspection and cleaning.

Q:Can screw conveyor work under inclined condition?

Yes. Conveying capacity will drop as inclination angle increases. Motor power and screw speed shall be recalculated for inclined installation. For vertical lifting, special vertical screw conveyor is required.

Q:How can material blockage at the hanger bearing be prevented when conveying cement?

Our equipment features dust-proof sealing devices at the hanger bearings and uses self-lubricating wear-resistant materials like felt bushes or powder metallurgy. Additionally, anti-water infiltration devices are set at the casing connections, and process holes are improved to prevent rainwater from entering and causing cement to cake and block.
