'WS' stands for Warrington-Seale. It is a specialized line-contact construction that combines different wire sizes in each strand. This creates a very dense and stable structure with a smooth outer surface, providing the best balance of flexibility and abrasion resistance.

If your application involves frequent bending over sheaves (like cranes), 6x36 WS is the superior choice. With 36 wires per strand, it is much softer and has a significantly longer bending fatigue life. It typically lasts 30-50% longer than 6x19 in high-cycle lifting environments.

Yes. One of the main advantages of 6x36 WS is its extreme flexibility. It can handle smaller bending radii better than stiffer constructions, which reduces internal stress and prevents premature wire breaks on smaller equipment.
