Q:How is ACSR/AW different from standard ACSR?

Only the steel core is changed-galvanized steel is replaced by seamless aluminum-clad steel wire. Outer aluminum 1350-H19 strands, diameter, lay, tensile and sag stay identical to standard ACSR, so fittings and towers are unchanged. The al-clad core removes zinc aging and galvanic corrosion at broken strands, extending service life 2-4x in coastal and industrial atmospheres.

Q:Which standards apply?

ACSR portion to ASTM B232 / IEC 61089 / BS 215-2 / GB/T 1179; al-clad core to ASTM B415 / IEC 61232 / GB/T 17937. 20W/30W/40W cladding and HS/EHS/UHS core grades available.

Q:What tests are supplied?
