Fast Red Fgr Pigment Red 112 for Printing Inks and Coatings

Main applications include industrial paints, air-drying paints, baking enamels, water-based decorative paints, solvent-based decorative paints, offset inks (sheetfed, heatset, coldset, UV curing), solvent and water-based packaging gravure and flexographic inks, textile printing, and general-purpose plastics including PVC and ABS.

Key fastness properties include light fastness Grade 7 (8-grade scale), heat resistance up to 170-270 degrees C (system dependent), acid resistance Grade 4, alkali resistance Grade 4, water resistance Grade 4, oil resistance Grade 4, alcohol resistance Grade 4, ester resistance Grade 3, and soap resistance Grade 5.

Heat resistance ranges from 170 to 270 degrees C depending on the system. It is suitable for general-purpose plastic applications including PVC and ABS. For high-temperature processing above 200 degrees C, verify grade-specific heat stability against your processing conditions. It is not recommended for outdoor long-term exposure applications.

Pigment Red 112 offers very good fastness to light and weathering even in medium reductions, making it an ideal alternative to toluidine red pigments when their fastness properties are inadequate. It provides better light fastness (Grade 7 vs. lower for toluidine reds) and improved heat stability at a lower cost than high-performance pigments like PR170.
