Permanent Orange G Pigment Orange 13 for Coating and Inks Application

Pigment Orange 13 delivers a reddish-orange shade that is slightly yellower than Pigment Orange 34. It offers good light fastness (Grade 7) and high color strength, making it a versatile choice for printing inks and paints. Pigment Orange 13 is a disazopyrazolone pigment, while Pigment Orange 34 has a different chemical structure.

PO13 exhibits high color strength, high gloss, and good printing properties in all printing systems. It is recommended for paste inks including sheetfed, heatset, coldset, and UV curing offset inks. It is also suitable for solvent-based and water-based packaging gravure and flexographic printing inks.

PO13 provides rich coloration with good heat stability in PE, PP, and rigid PVC applications. However, its use in polyolefins is limited. It is not recommended for plasticized PVC due to migration issues. It is also suitable for rubber, including natural rubber where it resists vulcanization and migration.

Heat resistance ranges from 150 to 200 degrees C depending on the specific grade and system. It withstands 200 degrees C for 10 to 30 minutes in printing applications, and some grades show heat stability up to 240 degrees C. For high-temperature plastic processing, verify grade-specific heat stability against your conditions.

PO13 is suitable for industrial paints, decorative paints, automotive paints, and powder coatings. It offers good water resistance, good light fastness, and excellent chemical resistance. However, due to its semi-opaque nature and moderate light fastness in reduced shades, it is not recommended for exterior or long-term weathering applications.
