DZL is usually used for boilers with a capacity of less than 10 tons, easy to transport, low requirements for water quality, low boiler room construction charges, and low water quality requirements. SZL is usually suitable for larger capacity boilers, has good water circulation, small water volume, faster preheating and higher steam quality, higher requirements for water quality, and higher thermal efficiency.

Vertical boiler has compact structure and limited floor space, easy installation and disassembly, low cost of capital construction and less investment, and rapid and abundant steam consumption. Horizontal boiler has a large combustion space allowing fuel to be burned, higher thermal efficiency than vertical boiler, less heat loss, stronger output, and higher steam quality.

Size requirements of coal: 6-25 mm. Coal blending size requirements: <50 mm (less than 6 mm coal should be less than 30%). Biomass particle diameter: 6 ~ 10 mm, length: 25 ~ 50 mm, water content <15%, ash <2%, sulfur content <0.07%, chlorine <0.07%, nitrogen <0.5%.

Door size: Standard oval furnace door: 300*800*1500. Blower hopper size: 2 tons conical hopper: 1400*800*1500, 4 tons cone hopper: 2200*1400*1500.
