Q:How to calculate speed using the encoder?
A:
For a 2000-count encoder, if 1000 pulses are output in 10ms, the speed is approx 3000 RPM. Direct speed reading is also supported.
Q:How to calculate position for a multi-turn encoder?
A:
For a 12-bit multi-turn encoder, turns = INT(position/8192). Single-turn value = position - (turns * 8192). Example: 16300 gives 19 turns and 7352 single-turn value.
