Yes. The LoRa livestock tracker communicates with a LoRa gateway through long-range wireless signals. The tracker itself does not require direct cellular coverage within the LoRa coverage area. However, the gateway normally requires an internet connection to upload data to the cloud server.

A Bluetooth electronic ear tag is attached to the animal's ear. Because the sensor remains close to the ear tissue, it can collect more stable temperature data than a temperature sensor installed on the outside of a livestock collar.

The temperature measurement accuracy is approximately +/-0.3 degree Celsius under proper installation and operating conditions.

The ear tag sends temperature data to the LoRa tracker through Bluetooth. The tracker combines temperature, location, activity, and device-status data and transmits it to the LoRa gateway. The gateway then uploads the data to the server, and the server displays it in the mobile APP or web platform.

The system configuration can be customized according to the ranch environment and communication range. Depending on the project design, each animal may use a LoRa tracker, or several nearby Bluetooth ear tags may transmit data through selected LoRa tracking devices.
