Q:What output can the line hold?

Q:What is the opening rate and why does it matter?
A:
98% or better. Opening rate decides how evenly the fiber sits inside the finished pillow. Fiber that is not properly opened fills unevenly and the pillow feels lumpy.
Q:How many operators does the line need?
A:
Feeding and opening are built into the same machine, which saves one operator against a setup where those are separate machines.
Q:How is the fiber loaded?
A:
Several dozen kilos go into the hopper at the start of a batch. Pillows are then filled until that batch runs out.
Q:How is pillow weight controlled?
A:
Each pillow is weighed on the workstation as it is filled. A foot pedal gives jog control of the fiber flow, so the operator trims the fill into tolerance without putting the pillow down.
