Q:What file formats do you prefer for quoting and production?

We prefer native 3D CAD files (e.g., .STEP, .IGES, .SLDPRT, .IPT). 2D drawings (.DXF, .DWG) are acceptable if they include critical dimensions and tolerances. A detailed PDF drawing is also helpful.

Q:What is the minimum flange length I can design for a bend?

The minimum flange length should generally be at least equal to the material thickness plus the inside bend radius. For example, 0.125" material with a 0.030" radius requires a ~0.155" flange.

Q:How do I specify hardware and welding?

Specify all hardware (PEM part numbers, thread sizes) and weld requirements (type, length, location) directly on your 2D drawing. Standard AWS symbols are preferred for welds.
