Q:What file formats do you prefer for quoting and production?

We prefer native 3D CAD files (e.g., .STEP, .IGES, .SLDPRT, .IPT). 2D drawings (.DXF, .DWG) are also acceptable if they include all critical dimensions, tolerances, bend lines, and material specifications.

Q:What is the minimum flange length I can design for a bend?

The minimum flange length should generally be at least equal to the material thickness plus the inside bend radius. For example, for 0.125' thick material with a 0.030' inside radius, the minimum flange would be ~0.155'.

Q:How do I specify hardware and welding?

Please call out all hardware (PEM part numbers, thread sizes) and weld requirements (weld type, length, and location) directly on your 2D drawing. Standard AWS symbols are preferred for welds.
