Q:What file formats do you prefer for quoting and production?

We prefer native 3D CAD files (e.g., .STEP, .IGES, .SLDPRT, .IPT). 2D drawings (.DXF, .DWG) are acceptable if they include critical dimensions and tolerances. A detailed PDF drawing is also helpful.

Q:What is the minimum flange length I can design for a bend?

The minimum flange length should generally equal the material thickness plus the inside bend radius. For example, 0.125' thickness with 0.030' radius requires ~0.155' flange. We can advise on specific cases.

Q:How do I specify hardware and welding?

Specify all hardware (PEM part numbers, thread sizes) and weld requirements (type, length, location) on your 2D drawing. Standard AWS symbols are preferred for welds; our engineering team can assist if unsure.
