Versatile Acrylic Emulsion for Both Interior and Exterior Decorative Paint

Acrylic emulsion has a very wide range of applications, mainly including architectural coatings (interior/exterior latex paints, textured paints, stone-like coatings), industrial coatings (metal anti-rust paints, wood coatings, floor coatings), waterproofing materials (waterproof coatings, waterproof mortars), adhesives (construction adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives), and textile printing (coating printing binders).

Styrene-acrylic emulsion offers high cost-effectiveness, good hardness, and excellent water and alkali resistance. It is suitable for interior coatings, mid-to-low grade exterior coatings, and waterproof coatings. Tg is the temperature at which the polymer transitions from a glassy state to a rubbery state, directly determining coating film hardness and flexibility. High Tg emulsions produce harder films with better anti-blocking and stain resistance, but have higher minimum film-forming temperature (MFT), making low-temperature application difficult and requiring coalescing agents. MFT is the minimum temperature at which the emulsion can form a continuous transparent film during drying. If the application temperature is below MFT, emulsion particles cannot fully coalesce, leading to cracking, chalking, or poor adhesion. MFT should be lower than the actual application temperature (typically required to be above 5C). If the ambient temperature is too low, coalescing agents can be added to reduce MFT.

When stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area in sealed containers, away from direct sunlight and frost, acrylic emulsion typically has a shelf life of 6-12 months (refer to product label for exact date). Slight separation may occur during long-term storage - stir thoroughly before use. Protect from freezing. Recommended storage temperature is 5-35C. Freezing can cause irreversible emulsion breakdown.
