Tarnishing is often caused by poor sanitation in the spraying room, spray gun, or fluidizing barrel. Interference from new powder mixed with recycled powder, long storage times, or mixing powders from different manufacturers can also cause light loss. Additionally, volatile gases from nearby paint spraying lines can affect the coating. To fix this, thoroughly clean the environment and equipment, and use new powder to start the production line.

Matte powder gloss may increase if mixed with high gloss powder. Also, if the curing temperature is too low or the time is insufficient, the gloss will change. It is recommended to clean before production and test the furnace temperature to ensure proper curing.

Color changes can occur due to residual pretreatment liquid, excessive baking time or temperature (causing yellowing), mixing different powders, or pigments/resin not being resistant to high temperatures. Solutions include improving pre-treatment, strictly following curing parameters, strengthening sanitation, and replacing qualified powder.

Lumps result from unclean workpiece surfaces, uneven powder supply, poor spray gun atomization, fine or wet powder agglomeration, dirty spraying sites, or pollution in recycled powder. Improvements include sandblasting the base material, adjusting air pressure, controlling particle size, keeping powder dry, cleaning the site, and sieving recycled powder before mixing.

Shrinkage holes are caused by inadequate pre-treatment with oil residue, oil or water in compressed air, dust contamination, or polluted powder. Solutions involve strengthening pre-treatment, regularly draining oil and water from air tanks, and keeping the drying channel clean.
