Color changes can be caused by residual pretreatment liquid, excessive baking time or temperature (especially for indoor powders), mixing with other powders, or pigments/resins not resistant to high heat. Solutions include improving pre-treatment, strictly following curing parameters, strengthening sanitation, and replacing qualified powder.

Lumps result from unclean workpiece surfaces, uneven powder supply, poor spray gun atomization, fine or wet powder, dirty sites, pollution in recycled powder, or dust/oil in the drying channel. Solutions involve sandblasting, adjusting air pressure, controlling particle size, preventing moisture, cleaning the site, and sieving recovered powder.

Shrinkage holes are caused by inadequate pre-treatment (oil residue), oil or water in compressed air, dust contamination, or polluted powder. Address these by strengthening pretreatment, checking air tanks for oil/water, and thoroughly cleaning the site and drying channel.

Pores and pinholes occur due to unclean workpiece surfaces, incomplete degreasing/rust removal, thick conductive putty, high spraying voltage, volatile gases in the drying channel, or insufficient curing. Fix by improving surface treatment, extending baking time, adjusting parameters, cleaning the tunnel, and controlling film thickness.
