Q:What is the biggest advantage of carbide plug gauge over steel plug gauge?
A:
Carbide has much better wear resistance. Its service life is more than ten times of steel gauge. It is anti-deformation and keeps stable precision for mass inspection.
Q:Can you make non-standard size carbide plug gauges?
A:
Non-standard customization is available, including special bore size, step type, blind-hole use and extended-length go-no-go plug gauges.
Q:Is carbide plug gauge easy to chip or break?
A:
Carbide features high hardness yet brittleness. Hammering and prying force are forbidden. No chipping under normal insertion-withdrawal operation.
Q:Will it scratch the inner bore of workpiece?
A:
Finished with mirror polishing and low roughness. It will not scratch copper, aluminum, powder-metallurgy and soft-magnetic parts under proper use.
Q:Does carbide plug gauge need anti-rust treatment?
A:
Carbide body hardly rusts. However, steel handle needs regular anti-rust oil. Store in dry gauge box.
