Q:Is a no-leg mandrel bend suitable for TIG welding?
A:
Yes. Both ends are square-cut and free of clamp-die marks, so the bend can be TIG welded directly without grinding. For 2"-3" bends with 1.5 mm (16 ga) wall, use standard TIG settings for thin-wall stainless; for 2.0 mm (14 ga) heavy-duty bends, higher amperage is required.
