Central impression flexo press wraps the substrate around one large drum while each color station applies ink in sequence. That single point of contact is what ensures everything stays stable and accurate. It's a whole different ballgame than stack or inline setups.

Tension and contact stay constant throughout the run, so registration errors and substrate stretch don't get a chance to accumulate. The result is consistent output from the first meter to the last.

It captures real-time HD images of the print while the machine is running. Defects get spotted mid-run rather than turning up during a post-production quality check when it's already too late to do much about it.

Speeds typically hit around 350 m/min, though where it actually runs day-to-day depends on the substrate and how the job is set up. For high-volume work, that ceiling covers most production requirements.

It flips the web mid-run so double-sided printing happens in a single pass. That removes what would otherwise be a separate operation from the workflow entirely.
