Key features

One order covers hull shell, deck, bulkhead, keel and stiffeners-no need to split across multiple mills.
MTC recognized by all IACS members-zero approval barriers for export vessels.
Charpy V-notch guaranteed from 0 down to-60 built for icy waters.
Low CE + micro-alloying = crack-free welding without preheating in most cases.
Fine-grain TMCP delivers high yield strength without sacrificing toughness.
AR / N / TMCP / QT - matched to your design code.
Up to 4500mm wide x 18000mm long - fewer welds, better structural integrity.
Z35 + UT tested - essential for highly restrained welded joints.
Shot blasting + shop primer + CNC cutting available, piece-mark traceable.
EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, full chemical & mechanical dossier per GB/T 712 and ASTM A131.

Product Q&A

Q:How do I choose between the general strength A/B/D/E and the high-strength AH32/AH36? Which one should I use?
A:
Selection depends on vessel type, service area, and structural location. Grades A/B suit river vessels or non-load-bearing parts in temperate zones; AH32/AH36 suit load-bearing hull/deck/keel of ocean-going ships. For cold waters (North Sea, Baltic), DH36 (-20C impact) is required; for polar/ice-class, EH36/FH36 (-40C to -60C). Rule of thumb: A/B for inland/non-structural, AH36 for ocean hull, DH36 for cold waters, EH/FH for polar.
Q:What do the abbreviations AR, TMCP, N, and QT in the delivery status mean? Which one should I choose?
A:
AR As Rolled standard for Grade A B lowest cost. TMCP Thermo-Mechanical Controlled Processing fine-grain mainstream for AH32-FH40 best cost-performance. N Normalized air-cooled after heating for thicker plates. QT Quenched & Tempered oil water quench + temper mandatory for extra-high strength FH460+ or offshore jackets highest cost. For most bulk carriers container ships TMCP AH36 is sufficient for offshore wind jackets specify QT Z35.
Q:Is ship classification certification (such as CCS/ABS/DNV etc.) mandatory? Can steel plates from different classification societies be mixed?
A:
Yes ocean-going commercial vessels must have IACS certification CCS ABS DNV LR BV etc for class entry and insurance. While IACS UR ensures equivalent chemistry mechanics across societies eg DNV AH36 = ABS AH36 technically the endorsed MTC must match the specified society. Substituting CCS for ABS requires the society's equal approval not automatic. For non-classed outfitting mixing is acceptable.
Q:What is Z-axis performance (Z25/Z35)? When is it necessary?
A:
Z-quality Z25 Z35 is through-thickness reduction of area in tension resisting lamellar tearing. Required when thick plates 40mm are in highly restrained T or cruciform joints where welding stress pulls through thickness. Typical applications offshore jacket nodes LNG tank containment naval critical joints. Standard hull plating does NOT need Z-quality but EH36 Z35 is standard for North Sea oil tankers and deep-water wind projects.
Q:What documents are provided along with the goods? What are the differences between EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2?
A:
Standard dossier MTC chemical analysis mechanical test report tensile + impact + bend heat number tag. Difference EN 10204 3.1 issued by mill QA most projects 3.2 adds IACS surveyor witness & signature mandatory for classed vessels. UT report EN 10160 ASTM A578 separate if specified WPS PQR on request. Note CCS 3.2 means CCS surveyor must witness at mill cannot be backdated.
