While IACS UR ensures equivalent chemistry mechanics across societies eg DNV AH36 = ABS AH36 technically the endorsed MTC must match the specified society. Substituting CCS for ABS requires the society's equal approval not automatic. For non-classed outfitting mixing is acceptable.

Z-quality Z25 Z35 is through-thickness reduction of area in tension resisting lamellar tearing.
